Type 6: The Questioning Loyalist

You might be a 6 if...

Thoughtful, warm, protective, devoted to others, trusting (once faith develops), intuitive, loyal, fair, witty, and full of ideas are good words to describe you

You focus much of your attention on risks, dangers, or threats. Some say you allow about 20% of actual risks to occupy 80% of your brain

When something bad actually does happen, you tend to feel calm, competent, and prepared to handle what comes

You are a natural contrarian. You will automatically question what is said and likely go against in either words or action

You feel more tense and anxious than most people around you

You are constantly scanning the area for potential problems and dangers. You’re very good at problem solving and figuring things out.

You have a more difficult time trusting yourself and others

You ask a lot of questions to feel more secure and safe

You often use the words “sometimes”  or “it depends” when answering questions

Your mind is constantly full of worst case scenarios as you try to control or prevent what might actually happen by imaging what could possibly go wrong

You are often slow to take action because you spend a lot of time thinking about the right way to do it or the best choice to make

You may have an attachment to or an aversion to authority and authority figures (feeling disobedient and rebellious, or compliant and scared)

Subtypes of Type 6: The Questioning Loyalist

SELF-PRESERVATION 6:
THE FAMILY LOYALIST

This type of 6 is more warmer and often has a great sense of humor. They look for safety and protection by building alliances with others so that they feel connected and secure. They tend to show a friendly, trustworthy side of themselves to others and focus on building connections to protect themselves from danger.  This is the most phobic of the three types of 6’s. They are often engaged in self-doubt, insecurity and fear of taking risks.

SOCIAL 6: THE SOCIAL GUARDIAN

This type of 6 will deal with their anxiety and fear by understanding the rules so they can cling to them and find security by being above reproach or consequence. This 6 has more certainty than the SP 6 and can sometimes be “too sure” of things as a way of dealing with uncertainty. They may adhere to the way a group thinks as a frame of reference for who/what is “bad” or “good”. They can be legalistic, efficient, focused on their duty a d making sure they do not stray away from what is expected of them as a way to feel secure in the world.

ONE-TO-ONE/SEXUAL 6: THE WARRIOR (the countertype)

This 6 feels fear like the other 6’s but goes against fear by becoming strong, brave, and intimidating. They may even be unaware of their fear., with their motto being “the best defense is a good offense”.  Because of their reliance on their keen intellect, they tend to trust themselves more than other type 6’s, but will struggle with some anxiety and worst-case thinking. They make friends with their anxiety/fear by feeling prepared and skilled both mentally and physically to face any danger.  They will also create beauty in their environment as a way of creating some stability and control for themselves.
